Configuring "My Docs" location-using secondary drive for stored da

Hello-

I am considering moving all user based data (my docs, pics, vids, etc) from
my main drive to a seconday drive connected via USB. My goal is to use my
main drive only for applications and OS and the secondary for all other user
stored data. Is there a way to config XP and Office so that once these file
folders are moved, these apps will automatically recognize the new location?
Suggestions on making this attempt?
 
If all you want to do is move the My Documents folder and not your user
profile you can simply click on start, right click My Documents and choose
properties. Then click on the move button and move to the desired choice
