Configuration Settings

All of a sudden in most of My Folders I am getting files Sometime faint files
called Desktop Configuration Settings. I believe they are initialisation
files.
Is ther a way I can get rid of these annoying files and stop them from
appearing again. I never had them before except in previous versions of
Windows.
Thanx for any help.

You have set the system to display normally hidden and protected system
files. Go to FolderOptions>View and check "Hide protected operating
system files" and click "OK" to the dialog box.

I sometimes have had "Hidden and Protected System Files" set to display
because its the only way to view Cookies,History and Temp Internet Files in
my IE7. But when I Check them in Folder Options/View tab the Desktop
Configuration Settings still appear as the last files in my folders.
