I have mobile internet on my notebook and I want to install Windows Mail on
it. Therefore I need : 1)emailadres, 2) POP3 name, 3) SMTP name. Where can I
find these items. I could not find anything on my actual mobile internet
provider. Now I use Gmail but I want Windows Mail

Key word Mobile...

If you go from place to place you will not be using the same sending and
receiving servers (SMTP and POP).

Now, your POP - Post Office Protocol server does not care "Where" you
are because it will get you user name and password with each request,
that's cool.

But your SMTP - Simple Mail Transport Protocol server does not use the
name and password, it only "Knows" who you are because you are signed on
to it's own network. (You obviously must have an account to get signed
on at all right). If it does not know who your are it will not let you
use it to send spam.

As always this is not true in all cases, some server are "Open" and
spammers use them, and some servers use a different port and permit
"Authentication" and unless you want to use web based mail while
traveling then you should ask your provider's tech support if they can
do authenticated mail and probably give you the settings.

If you ask here someone might know your provider's settings but don't
give a real email address here, only the provider name or the last part
of the email address after the @sign.

Walter, your message is rather confusing to say the least :-)

If you have a Laptop with Vista installed, then you already have Windows
Mail installed.

Who is your mobile internet provider?

Gmail is a mail provider, Windows Mail is a mail account reader.

How did you access your gmail account previously?

Your email address is provided usually by your ISP - Internet Service
Provider.

You can set up gmail accounts in Windows Mail, see:

If you mean something else, then please clarify what you want to do.
