conditional with date

Column "B" has dates in cells periodically, such as 03/03/2008. I want
adjacent cells in Column "D" to highlight if there is a date in column "B".
For example; B4, B11, B13 contain dates, thus I want cell D4, D11, D13 to
highlight.

Its not easy to get this right. Dates are merely numbers with a different
format applied. The trick is to check the format.
