A student in my class has asked if the black selection colour (reverse video appearance of text as white; background black) can be changed in a Windows operating environment. Can it? If so, how

Thanks in advance of a response.

You can change display under start>settings>control panel display,
appearance (windows xp)
change to windows classic style under windows and buttons: and select high
contrast black under Color scheme:

Hi Chris,
By moving up to Excel 2000 you get a gray bluish background for
reverse video of selection, which I don't think is in the 56 color default
palette. I think this is unique to Excel so not in the control panel.

Thank you very much. Of course I never thought of manipulating the appearance in Windows. Good work Peo.
