Concatenate same field??

I don't know how to ask this question other than giving an example.

I have data that looks like this

Warehouse Item Company Qty
Atlanta xyz Widget 5
Atlanta xyz Supply 6

I would like a summary query that gives these results:

Warehouse Item Reference Qty
Atlanta xyz Wid, Sup 11

or even better

Warehouse Item Reference Qty
Atlanta xyz Wid-5, Sup-6 11

Any ideas?

You cant get what you want because the values you want in 'Reference' are not
in your data.
Assuming you want the first 3 letters of the Company (you did not say), what
will happen if the number of companies exceeds the max length of your output
Reference column?
By using a pivot table on Company, you could get:

Warehouse Item Widget Supply
Atlanta xyz 5 6

You still have the problem of not knowing how many companies will be listed.

THere is a generic concatenate function with sample usage at

You expression might be like
Concatenate("SELECT Left(Company,3) & '-' & Qty FROM tblNoName")

I expect you want to filter the sql inside the Concatenate to the same item
and/or warehouse but your data didn't have much to go on. You should also
provide a table name.
