I really need help, so if you read this, and you even THINK you know what to
do, please help me. I leave me computer running all the time and earlier this
week, the power went out. When I restarted my computer, (after the power came
back on...duh) I nearly fainted. When I clicked on my internet icon, nothing
happened, so I re-installed it. (Pain in the butt) I then realized that the
computer won't allow me to switch users or shut the computer off by clicking
start/shut down. THEN, I realized that there is no sound. I went on this site
and the Dell support site and troubleshot (is that how you say it?) and went
into control panel and saw that the computer now miraculously has no sound
device, when 5 days ago it did. There are several other things I can't click
on such as "Add Hardware" in the control panel and other things I'm too
aggrivated to remember. I thought maybe it was because the power went out, or
maybe it's a virus. PLEASE HELP ME.

I tried that immediately after the problem first occured, but there were no
restore points that went back far enough. I can't even switch users on this
damn thing. I talked on the phone with Dell for over an hour and did a system
repair (worthless) and I don't think that they really understood what was
going on. Please, if anyone else reads this, I NEED your help. Thank you.
