I use Windows XP
Problem - after downloading Microsoft updates I can no
longer start my computer. It starts the process but the
icons never display and no task bar.

I receive the message:
"Explorer.exe - unable to locate component.
This application has failed to start because SHDOCVW.dll
was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the
problem.

We tried changing the Boot order so that it would read the
CD drive first and I put in my XP CD. It would not read
that and still tried to boot off the C: drive.

Any suggestions??
