When I turn the computer on it goes through the normal start-up stuff, then
"system is about to start windows" it just keeps doing that without actually
loading windows. PLEASE HELP!!!!

restore your system:
restart your computer - press F8(several times) - Windows advanced options
will open - select the ''last Known Good Configuration"

or go to the safe mode and restore to a previus day

LFR, when i restart, and click safe mode, or click last known good
configuration, it still does the same thing. i have reason to believe its
something to do wth my power outlet.

do this:
do a test Press F2 many times after turning your computer on to open the
bios....wait 1 minute...your computer turn off or restart again??? if your
answer is not do this:.... You need to find the place were you can change
your bios settings to default and go out with ok...try to log again.

Ok, this is the problem, I don’t think it’s a problem with my monitor, it
goes to sleep… as it thinking nothing is there to be read I guess.. When I
restart, the computer lights all turn on, I can open dvd/cd drives etc, but
nothing happens, nothing appears on my monitor. So I'm just stuck, can't do
anything else

you need to do a lot to resolve this problem:
1- if the monitor is black dead; but you have the tower is on...unplug the
monitor and try the monitor in other computer ( or other monitor)
if monitor if fine...you need to go inside your computer to try to find
problems relate with mother board power,or grafics cards
the best sugestion: take the computer to the shop if the warranty still in
funtion...

Ok, well monitor is good, computer booted after I got into bios and reset
everything in there to default. Then I'm now in safe mode doing a disk
defrayment, and after that if it still holds up I'll run windows re-install.

Thanks hope that would fix my problem
