Tonight when I got home from work my mother tells me the computer is broken.
She said that she had taken a nap with the game she was playing still on the
screen and when she woke up the only thing on the screen was a message
saying that the OS couldn't be found. No matter how many times she rebooted
she got the same message.
When I turned the machine on there was the same message and no matter how
many times I hit a button, nothing improved. All I could think was, "Damn,
everything is gone!"
In desperation I hit Ctrl, Alt, delete and suddenly there was some message
about something that had been updated and after a minute or so everything
came back up. Yes!
Has anyone ever had something like this happen? What can I do to keep it
from happening again?
