Computer slowed after updates

after downloading and installing KB 835732, 828741 and 837001 it started taking an hour for my computer to get to MY DESKTOP. Tried going to safe mode (went OK ) and restoring to previous day's settings -- no change. Mouse is unresponsive and will only move in jerks after ~10 second delay. When starting up after reboot or power down the hard drive acitivity light basically stops after windows xp startup screen. Running xp home. In safe mode all functions are ok. It also told me some of my Mcafee components were missing after the download. Any ideas????

I have the same exact problem. After I was finally able to get ade/delete programs to open, i uninstalled 835732 and my computer was fine after that. i went to the ms site to download it again and it is back to the same old stuff,,,so just uninstall it and leave it alone!
