I am having problems with my computer shutting down while I am in the middle of working on projects and things...I recently did a non destructive recovery because of a virus previously..I had no problems before but now it will do well for a while then click its off...When it comes on I get this error message that windows did not start successfully, I choose Last Known Config...Sometimes it does fine for awhile and then sometimes it goes right back off...I cant get online support from HP instant support because it says I am not connected to the internet, dont know why because I have dsl...PLease someone help!!!!

A good place to start is with the Event Viewer. You can access it from
Control Panel|Administrative Tools. Look for events under both System
and Application that have the timestamp of your crashes.
Double-clicking on an event will bring up details and an error code.
You can begin narrowing down your problem with it.
