This shut down was initiated by NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM.

You have one of the recent highly-publicized worms, probably
either Sasser or Blaster. You got this by running without a
firewall and not keeping up with the latest Windows Critical
updates from Microsoft.

To find out which worm you have and get help in getting rid of
it, please post back with the *complete* text of the message you
received.

Thanks Ken:
Here is the full message:
The system is shutting down. Please save all work in progress and log
off. Any unsaved changes will be lost. This shut down was initiated by
NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM
Time before shut down: 00:00:45
Message
The system process
'C:/WINNT/SYSTEM 32/Isass.exe' terminated unexpectedly with status
code -1073741819. The system will now shut down and restart.

You're welcome. That's Sasser. First go to Start | Run and type

shutdown -a

That will stop it from shutting down.

Then get the W32.Sasser Removal Tool (Line 321) Right hand side)
