My computer's os is windows xp home edition and since last week, it shuts
down every 5 minutes. I think it's because of some viruses because I've
downloaded many songs but I can't scan my pc because it shut down every 5
minutes. What should I do and what can I do myself?

Shutting down every 5 minutes is NOT a sign of a virus. You most likely have a hardware
problem; RAM, CPU, CPU over-heating, power supply, etc.

Does it shutdown precisely every five minutes, or approximately
every five minutes? Do you get a warning or does it just shut
down abruptly?

Depending on the answers to those questions, it sounds more like
a hardware problem (perhaps overheating) than a virus.
