Recently, the computer has been restarting
automatically. This typically happens when I first log
onto one of the accounts, or when I first start up
Internet Explorer and try to go to a new address. It does
not happen all the time. I suspect it is due to a virus,
and I have scanned with the latest version of Norton anti-
virus. Results are described below.
NAV identified and quarantined 2 files after finding they
were infected with: trojan.killAV and WIN32.doom.mm.
NAV was unable to repair the files. From what I have
read about these two viruses, they do not cause the
problem I am experiencing. I downloaded the s/w remove
the win32.doom.mm worm.
I also know that software has been loaded onto my system
that hijacks my home page. I have read about how to fix
it by editing the registry, but I have not done it yet.
