I had to reformat my HP harddrive the other night, because
of a program I downloaded. It really messed my system up.
This is the first time I had to do that. After I restarted
it, I noticed that when I went to turn it off, I clicked
the 'Turn Off Comoputer' button, then the 'Turn Off'
button, but the system restarted. I tought I had clicked
the 'restart' by mistake, but when I did it again, the
same thing happened. I now have to turn it off manually.
Is there any way to fix this problem? Any help will be
greayly appericated.

Turn off 'restart after failure' in my computer, properties, advanced,
startup & recovery, and report the blue screen error (crash) that is
happening when something (95% probably a driver of some kind) is asked
to close down. The blue screen error may even tell you the driver name
(<xyz>.sys),
after which www.google.com 'Windows XP <xyz>.sys', will probably find
you the culprit, and even maybe a fix.
