Hello and thanks for your time first and formost.

Well I will explain how my problem has come about. Last night I was playing
a game (neverwinter nights) and the program froze and refused to be ended. So
I, in my infinate wisdom (read stupidty) hardbooted the comp and now it
refuses to load windows. It choses to go through the Bios , and loads that up
just fine. It is just when it is time for the windows screen with the loading
bar to show up, the screen goes black, and nothing happens. The windows CD
doesnt seem to be helping eather. It appears to be refusing to read from it,
thinking its a invalid windows cd when it is quite a baught and purchased
one.. So yes, if anyone has any ideas it would be greatly apprecated!

My first thought is that you had failure, probably
hardware, while playing the game. Your hardboot shouldn't
have caused any major problem . . . it's possible but VERY
unlikely . . .

To boot from the CD you probably have to change the boot
order in the BIOS. Set the CD as the first boot device
and try again . . .

Good Luck !

Press F8 during the boot process and select "Last known good configuration".
