Computer logs off immediately after logging on

I had a lot of adware on my computer, and downloaded Ad-
Aware 6.0 and Adware Away to get rid of it. After running
Ad-Aware it suggested that it clean up files it couldn't
after restarting, and checked the box. I used Adware Away
after using Ad-Aware and then restart my computer. Now
after logging on to an account, the background shows up
briefly and then it logs me off of the account. This
happens for all accounts on my computer.

There are possible reasons I think for why this happened.
1.The Adware Away deleted the things Ad-Aware couldn't and
when Ad-Aware runs to find the programs it can't find them
and logs off.(I doubt this, and I don't know how good of a
guess it is because I am not very computer smart.)
2.I deleted an important thing needed for the computer to
log on the account.

Please help.

Try booting into safe mode or safe mode command prompt and
and running sfc /scannow. (from a command prompt)
System File Checker (sfc) will check your system files and replace any missing/overwritten
files that Windows File Protection helps protect. You might be prompted for your XP install
CD, so have that handy.

I have the same problem, with windowsXP login off
automatically right after I login. But for my case, it
just happen suddenly without me uninstalling/installing
anything. I tried going into console/command prompt, but
it eventually goes into the windows login screen again
(not the prompt). I'm lost.

Is there any other solution other than going into the
command prompt?
