i just changed my hard disk so i had to install win xp again.
and somehow it hangs while i am downloading windows updates.
but not only when i download but also...sometimes after i startup.
and it hangs also when i restart or turn off...
kinda figure either it hangs around after 3 minutes i started up
or when its memory usage become higher...
somwhow it is 50~70mb when i start up...i remember when i install last time
it was at least 100+mb
so anyone knows what is the solutions?
only things i have install since the installation of the xp is
zone alarm for firewall and virobot for virus check program.

i have no idea what to do because i cant even update..because it
hangs...while it is checkng for new updates. -_-;

thank you.

So while you have nothing on the system.............reinstall and format the HD
during the install.
This way you know there will be nothing on the system but XP.
Test XP before connecting to the net and be sure to install ZA and Antivirus
before you connect to the net.

Almost forgot>>>>after the format and install of XP dont forget to load your
MOBO drivers and video/audio drivers.

thank you.

i finished before i read this but still thanx ^^
i did the new installation...but it was still freezing so
like i read from one of the reply from others.
i delete the catroot2 folder then
upgraded all the drivers then
i start update and it is fine now...
but i install the antivirus and za after though..-_-;

thank again
