I was trying to reinstall windows xp-sp1 onto my machine.
I have a EGO systems computer with a P4 Titan Ga-8PE667
mainboard.Pentium4,2.5ghz_cpu,512mb ram,socket 478, dd4
333, agp 4x, usb 2.0.
I have read that my usb might be causing my problem but I
can,t get past the "installing devices" menu. My computer
just goes to sleep. This only happens during windows
setup, not in any other mode.
Please help! This has me bugged.

Physically disconnect all peripheral hardware devices from your PC,
except your monitor, mouse and keyboard. Then go out and get two
PS/2 adapters and use them to connect your keyboard and mouse
to the PS/2 ports in lieu of using the USB connections, then proceed
with a "Repair Install".

Thank you for replying so fast. I have replaced the mouse
and keyboard with ps/2 connections, I have no usb devices
plugged in at all. Should I disable these options in my
bios.
