For the past few months; my computer would freeze without
warning. I have re-installed Windows several times in
order to fix the problem, but, still the problems
persists. On occassion, I would get several error meesages
which states that a file could not be found at start-up
and that the file is either "missing or corrupted".

The latest messages reads:-

"Windows couldn't start because of a computer disk
hardware configuration problem. Could not read from the
selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware.
Please check the Windows documentation about hardware disk
configuration and your hardware reference manual for
additional information."

Hope someone can assist me. Please help!

Thanks.

Mike

.
Check that the connections to your hard drive and if you
have one, the hard drive controller, are firmly pushed in
properly. I sugest you run a system utility diagnostic
test on your hard drive, and the RAM memory too. I would
try a differant hard drive in that PC, either new or
used, and then boot to the XP CD, and create the primary
partition, then format the NTFS file system, then install.
