computer freezes up

my pc freezes up and i cann't get it to do anything until
i cut it off and reboot. how can i find out what is
causing this problem i've had it freeze up while
capturing a movie and the cpu usage was about 30%. thanks
in advance for any help on how to correct this problem
 
Hi

If you don't see any error messages prior to the freezing, have a look in
the Event Viewer to see if there are entries that may point to the problem.
