Computer freeze

Hello !

Big issue last week! Most of the company's computers (all Windows XP SP2)
freezed some minutes after start, CPU run with 99-100% (svchost, system idle
process). Logon server not found, maybe a link with Outlook too, or antivirus
(eTrust Antivirus 8.0), don't know exactly.

I think an update of Microsoft could cause a problem, but I cannot confirm
now. Did someone have the same problem as me? With several opinions it could
be easier to find the source of the problem.

Hello,

Could be caused by Windows Update.

Disable Automatic Updates in Control Panel and see if it resolves the issue.
If it does, install this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927891 and Windows
Update 3.0 ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927891 ) and then enable
Automatic Updates back.

Yes, I think so, the problem seems to be caused by an update from Microsoft
(a friend told to me about such issues on his side too). But it's quite hard
to find exactly which one...

I installed a WSUS server in the domain, now all updates will be tested
before installed on all computers...
