Computer Freeze

my computer is constantly freezing on me and i dont know what is causing it do to so. i have 2 forms of spyware/adware detection downloaded and when it says i have 0 infected files, my computer still freezes. can someone please help me??

Sounds like a hardware problem, possibly related to heat. Are all your
fans spinning normally? Look for a utility from your motherboard
manufacturer that will display the CPU temp.... It could also be
something loose in your computer, like a memory module or the video
card. Honestly, it could be almost anything but when I see a system that
freezes solid I always look at the hardware first. Hope this helps.

I have the same problem but only when my network card is put in the pcmcia slot. Used various tech support sites and took to a repair shop but knowone seems to be able to fix the problem. I only started to get this when i had to do a complete reinstall of win xp, and i notice the problem is getting more widespread on microsoft help sites. Seems it could be a very clever virus or something lik that. sorry i could not help you though
