Yes, it says a restore point was successfully created and it is shown in the
available restore points window. And the date is then in bold.
The restore point I created yesterday is now gone and the date is now not
bold. Last night I set up a scheduled automatic restore point creation for
early in the morning. Just checked and there is a restore point from 5 am
today. Bet it's gone tomorrow!
Many things can cause loss of Restore Points, when they are gone, they
are gone and can not be recovered or used.
Some of the things are:
Available space on hard drive
Computer usage
Space you dedicate to System Restore
