Computer crashes when using MS Word

Every time I use MS Word my computer freezes up completely. I have done the
usual scans and virus checks and this keeps happening any ideas?
 
Open MS-Office in Safe mode and perform a Detect and Repair.[under
Help]or,you may try a repair installation of MS-Word.

In addition:

For Word: Go to Start/Run and type in: winword /r
For Excel: Go to Start/Run and type in: excel /regserver
For PowerPoint: Start/Run and type in: powerpnt /regserver
For Access:Go to Start/Run and type in: msaccess /regserver
