My computer crashed I run windows XP proffesional, I thought I heard the
harddrive click then everything froze, when I rebooted my screen page came up
but no icons or tool bar help please

I'm sorry, but you haven't given us enough information to get focused
help. All you've basically told us is "it's broken".

Testing hardware failures often involves swapping out suspected parts
with known-good parts. If you can't do the testing yourself and/or are
uncomfortable opening your computer, take the machine to a professional
computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigStoreUSA).
