dI hope I am not asking a non related question? If I am just egnore me don't
shout at me!! BUT!!! The fan on my computer seems to come on after about an
hour an makes a lot of noise, is it safe to continue working or should I be
closing down once it makes a big noise? thanks.

Notebook or Desktop PC ? - Desktop fans are inexpensive and not
too difficult to replace. Hardware would be <~$15. Notebook fans
are usually more difficult and need an "Authorized" Service Center to
make repairs. As to continued use, if the fan is turning then you OK.
It would be advisable to have a Temp/Fan monitoring utility running
so you can visually keep on eye on System Temps and fan speeds.
I would recommend a program called SpeedFan (4.29)

Have you contacted the computer builder - how old is the computer - there is
a newsgroup for hardware matters - not sure if there is in the web interface
discussion group from where you appear to have posted.
