Computer booting itself up in the middle of the night???

This is weird.. but it is happening.. has happened twice already... and I
don't understand... what could possibly be making my computer boot itself up
from the turned off position.. all by itself?

Help!!
 
What kind of network do you have and is the BIOS set to wakeup on Modem Ring
or Lan Connect?

The BIOS setting "Wake on Lan" or "Wake on Modem" is enabled?
 
I just moved from the bsmt suite in this same house to the main floor.. it
never did this downstairs.. and doesn't always do it in the morning.. during
the daytime occassionally too..
 
I can set my computer bios to boot my computer unattended, at any time of
the day. Can you do the same to your's? Undo the bios setting.

Getting into your BIOS depends on your computer. When your computer is
booting, before it gets into Windows, it will tell you what key to hit to get
into Setup. More than likely, it's going to be F1 or the DELete key. Once
in the setup, look around for the 'Wake on LAN' or 'Wake on Modem' settings.
Perhaps you may have the option of waking at a certain time, also.
