Windows XP Home version
I was the assigned computer administrator (the only one
on the computer). The account type was changed from
ADMINISTRATOR to LIMITED. The computer nolonger has an
administrator and access is now totally missing from some
functions. How do we change my account type from Limited
back to administrator? Only an administrator has the
power to do this and there is no administrator!!

Greetings --

Log in using the built-in Administrator account, and reset
passwords and/or create/modify the other user accounts as desired.
In WinXP Pro, press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at the Welcome Screen. In
WinXP Home, restart into Safe Mode.

the Administrator should still be there. go to user accounts and change the way users log in to the classic. (no items selected.) reboot or try Ctrl/alt/del and where it askes for your log in name highlitght deleat your name and typ Administrator and hit enter.
you should see the Administrator Account and you will be able to fix your addition issues.
