G Guest Jan 4, 2006 #1 If I compress my MPEG4 movies in a zip folder, will I lose any data or quality of the movies?
G Guest Jan 4, 2006 #2 as mp4's are already a compressed format they are unlikely to lose any size by zipping, they will probably be exactly the same size when zipped

T TeVan Jan 4, 2006 #4 The zips will most likely be larger than the original files... WinRAR multimedia compression might be able to squeeze a little air out of them, but don't count on it. I've had fair results, sometimes, with cabpack: http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/english.htm It'll take considerable time with files that size, and you probably won't be pleased with the performance when you want to actually use the files. c'Ya!
