support as was released with Windows Millenium and XP, other than using third

Compression is supported on NTFS volumes with allocation units 4096 and less.

Perhaps I wasn't clear enough, What I should have asked was...Is there a
file extraction wizard available for .zip files for Windows 2000, instead of
having to get Winzip or Powerarchiver?

Nothing from Microsoft. You'll have to use a third-party product. There
are many to choose from.
