Compress Old Files

Hello,When I run disc cleanup,all the boxes are ticked.All the files are
deleted accept Compress Old Files.The total memory used is still stated.How
can I remove these files,should I remove these files.Thanks

click start......programs..........find help&support...........type in disk
cleanup.
in the resulting window read all of the instructions/help notes on disc
cleanup.
only you can decide wether to delete/compress old files............
personally I uncheck that option......I neither compress not delete
