compresed old files

Does anyone know where to fine the compressed old files that hang the disk
clean up tool...? I know you can do the work around with the reg thing but
this just skips the compressed old files and I want them off my machine.
Where can I find the file that is screwing the disk clean up program.

You are right it says, "compress old files". Don't need that going on.
