Compile Error

When I first open Excel and Word programmes I get an on
screen warning. It is headed Microsoft Visual Basic and
the message is "Compile error in hidden module AutoExecNew"

Also when I close the programmes I get the same error
warning except that the hidden module name is DistMon.

I am running Windows 98 4.10.2222A and Office 2000
9.0.2720.

The problem does not appear to affect the fucnctioning of
the programmes.

Has anybody got any ideas

Sounds like you have an xla or a workbook that is password protected that is
throwing the error.

Go into the VBE and check each project, and try and get the password for the
offending item. You should then get a detailed error.

It points at PDFMaker.xla as being the culprit.
