Shortly after installing some updates to W2K I started
receiving the following error message whenever I start or
exit Word or Excel in office 2002:

It was a week or two since I used either program so I am
not sure if it started right away or later, or if for that
matter there is any relationship.

The error message is in a dialog box that is headed as a
Visual Basic Error. If I click the OK button the programs
seem to work OK. I would like to get rid of the erroe
message.

It was recommended in the word fourm to delete templates.
I did it, and it worked. I tried it in Excel but I still
get the error.

Any suggestions?

Am I missins some file types that may contain macros?

Am I missins some file types that may contain macros?

Probably. Either some file in the startup folder (as spesified in Tools > Options menu) or
as installed addins found in the Tools > Addin menu. Since you don't already know what it
is then it's probably useless. Or worse: Scanner ocr software or PDF something from
Acrobat.
