Hi Linda,
Make sure that the file format is the Access 2000 format. I'm not sure what
you mean by "concerned about the other objects". Have you used any ActiveX
controls? You may have an issue with missing references on the target PC if
you have used any ActiveX controls.
Have you used any new functionality that was introduced in Access 2002 or
2003? If so, then this would be a definate problem area. In general, the best
course of action is to develop using the lowest common denominator--in other
words, do your development work in Access 2000, since you have users who
currently use that version.
I think the best way to find out if you will have a problem is to simply try
it out on a PC that has only Office 2000 installed. Before doing this, I
recommend removing any unneeded references, and verifying that any code
compiles without an error. I also recommend that you create a brand new
database, and import all objects (tables, queries, forms, reports, etc.) into
the new database. Set the references and startup options the same as found in
your current copy.

Can I deploy a database with forms and reports developed in Access 2003 on
Windows XP onto a user's machine running Windows 2000 and Access 2000? I
believe the database will be fine but am concerned about the other objects.
thanks,
-Linda
