Larry

I am using windows xp pro sp1.

I am running several older applications that require
compatibility mode. My problem is that I also have many
users. When a user sets compatibility mode it is only set
for that user, all other users would still need to set
compatibility mode up. Can I set it for everyone using a
script, batch file, group policy, other? Or am I not
doing this correctly? Any insight would be very helpful.
Thanks a lot.

You should download and install Windows Application
Compatibility Toolkit at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?
familyid=7fc46855-b8a4-46cd-a236-
3159970fde94&displaylang=en

Then, use the Compatibility Administration Tool to create
system-wide compatiblity fixes for the applications you
want to fix, then save the database (to a location all
users can access), then install the database.

Thanks a lot. I will try that.
