i work at a nursing home and we get programs from the
state of connecticut. i have a program that was
originally made in access 97, however it uses runtime to
run as not everyone has access. i've been having problems
opening it. my old system ran window me, which i had no
problems with. my new one now runs xp. is this an OS
issue, and if so can i get around it, or am i just SOL?
Someone help!1 Thanks

Hi there,

I never seen this error before, but if you faced
compatibility issues, you can do this.

1) Right click on your access software icon, and select
properties.

2) Select Compatibility tab on top.

3) Click on Run this program in compatibility mode for
check box.

4) Select Windows 95 or Windows 98 / ME.

Hope it helps.

Thank you.

Access 97 will work in XP, but I am not sure about a runtime program
made in that way on an earlier system. It may need re-making. I'd ask
over in the specialist newsgroups in
microsoft.public.access.< something >
