Comparing & Stating The Nearest Matching

Expertise requested for the following case:

Suppose I have a list and the item in Cell A2 is:
"United Bank Limited"

Other list states different options like:

UBL
United Bank
United Bank Ltd. and
Bank United Limited

Any suggestions to check out and come up with the most similar ENTRY
or
most similar WORDS?

The one to be reflected in B2 should be

"United Bank Ltd." and NOT
"Bank United Limited"

as the characters are atleast in the same order.

All sugestions are obliged!

Mathematicans have been generating algorithms to to this for years. Numerous
thesis papers have been written on this topic. the solution is a very
complex macro.

The best solution is to list each option in a seperate column. then search
for a match in eevery column.

However, what is meant by listing options in different columns? and any idea
or source of such a complex macro or topics on net!
