Comparing 2 values

i have a access2003 qry "qryWages" which looks something like this

paymentID Week 6 6a
1 1 £63.89 £63.89
2 2 £127.79 ?
3 3 £211.12 ?

the ? marks represents data that im trying to get. in colume 6a i need to
take the figure in colume 6 and compare it with the amount in colume 6 for
the previous record. then i need to take the lower amount from the hightest
amount.

any ideas please?
