Compact and Repair

I have set the Compact and Repair to occur on closing the Data Base using the
Options in Access 2007. However, when I closed the Data Base, the Data Base
was deleted completely, and I cannot find it anywhere on the Computer. With
the previous version of Access, I used Tools, Compat & Repair without a
problem! Any clues and thanks for any help.
