Kristen,
System slowdowns can be caused by a great many things. The first thing I
would suspect would be too little RAM. If you are going to be working with
applications like Paint Shop Pro you should consider going to 512 MB of RAM,
at the least. The second thing I would think about is possible system
infection with viruses, worms, adware and Trojans. Download some utilities
like Ad-aware, Spybot Search and Destroy, Pest Patrol and HiJack This! to
help clean up and protect your computer. Of course, you should also be
running an anti-virus program and a firewall of some kind. Programs running
in the background can eat up system resources like crazy, so check out what
you have running at start up and see if there is anything you can do
without. Instant messaging programs are notorious for this. Good luck and
post back if you still have problems.

HI, I don't know what the problem is w/this thing but it's driving me
crazy, i'm just about to throw this thing out the window. When I go to
shutdown sometimes it won't shut down. When I am working in Paint Shop Pro
the computer seems like it starts to run slower. Just off an on when I do
certian things it runs slower? IS they're anything I can do to fix this? I
never had this problem before.
