Communicating over a home intranet on Win.XP

On Win98 & Win Me I was always able to us Windows
WinPopUp to send a message to my kids on the other
computer. Cannot see it on XP or anything that looks
like doing the same job.

Would WinMe/x98 - 'WinPopup' work with/on XP?
Or is there another messaging system that I am missing?
Got any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
George

Use "net send" from a command window.
See help > search > "net send" without the quotation marks, on your XP
computer for the syntax.

Winpopup has been discontinued. At our office we find it most
efficient to
use WinMessenger - much better than WinPopup ever was. Works with
all W9x, W2K and XP. It has very nice, "native" user interface under
Windows XP and drop-down list with users...
It can be downloaded from http://www.winpopup.com
