I would like to try and discover why I can sign on to Ebay OK using IE
but not Firefox.

Is there some kind of data logger that I could load up temporarily
that would monitor the various stages the site goes through in
verifying my Signin details, which are clearly not found acceptable in
the case of Firefox.

I have spent sometime trawling through the Firefox forum messages but
to no avail. Removing the firewall make no difference !

You have to go to your settings and enable java for both home and
*other* sites as well. HTH

Hi Josh
I can sign on initially but if I attempt to do *anything* it simply
keeps returning to the Signon screen. I can only see one Java option
and it either has a check against it or not. What am I missing.

Not Java, Java Script maybe. I have no problem with Ebay and I do not
have Java installed on my machine. I use Mozilla 1.7.8.
 
Sorry Andy, I was doing it from memory

Ro to: Tools-->web features--> *check* load images--------UNCHECK original
web site only.

Enable java, enable java script

One more thing! Do you have java installed? You MUST go to Sun micro and
download/install the one for FirefoxMozilla.
