Is there a way of setting up a common calendar in Exchange/Outlook? I want
the whole company to have read/write rights to the public calendar. I'm
thinking of a common user mailbox and setup everyone to delegate. Is there a
better way?

Any reason you can't just set up a public calendar folder and assign rights
via a group?
 
Yes, a Public Folder. No need to setup delegates... just assign the correct
permissions to authenticated users.
