When a new comment is created, the comment window opens up with the user
name in bold. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to set a default so
that it doesn't display the user name?

I have to delete it every time and it's a bit of a pain....

There's no default that you can change to remove the user name. There's
a workaround here:

Or, you can use a macro to insert a comment without the name. There are

Right, but that will change your user name for all of Office. I don't think
there's a way to not display the user name.
