For my purposes, the Word 2000 (and earlier) method of
handling comments -- embedding a numbered indicator in the
text and producing a list of comments at the end -- was
perfect. The Office XP method -- with its balloons and
integration with tracked changes, lack of comment
numbering, inability to generate a list tied to specific
words and sentences in the text, etc. -- is confounding
and basically useless in terms of how I used Comments in
the older versioins.

Is there any way to get Word XP to function like my older
versions with respect to Comments? --Mark

Hi Mark,

From what I've heard, perhaps the best you can do is to turn them into
footnotes/endnotes.

Cheers
