Comment "option"

I loaded Office 2k3 on our systems yesterday. I have seen my friend's Office 2k3 utilize the option of replying to a message utilizing the "comment" option on the insert menu that basically inserts footnotes in the body of the person you are replying to

My update are current but for some reason i cannot get this option to come up on the "insert" menu

Set Word as your e-mail editor. Tools-> Options-> tab Mail Format

Having Word as you're e-mail editor is quite good I think. A lot eassier in
spelling and grammar check as well.

I don't use the comments; I reply in-line and have that marked with;
Tools-> Options-> tab Preferences-> button E-mail Options-> bottom; Mark my
comments with
