Hello; After taking computer classes to understand the
dos command line interface, I know how to use chkdsk.
Q: I often wonder if it is possible to change the start
up file in the c.l.i.? Mine starts at, C:\Windows\32>.
Then, I do two, cd..'s. I would like to change that to
C:\>. Thank you. JIM

On the icon where you start the command line interface, right mouse
click and pick proprties. Change the "start-in" folder to what you want.

Rob,

There is no icon when running DOS emulation from a "CLI" (command line
interface).

Rob,

I should have added that starting DOS emulation from a command line
interface is accomplished by; Start>Run>CMD (therefore no icon is
available). Your solution would apply to a DOS prompt shortcut.
